Abstract
This chapter attempts to answer the question of who needs science and mathematics, a question which repeatedly appears and is asked in science and mathematics classrooms. Although individuals of all ages use concepts and principles from science and mathematics in their everyday life, during their schooling years, they do not seem to make the connection between school science and mathematics and everyday life.
