Abstract

The increasing focus on the importance of school leadership as an essential driver for the achievement of positive outcomes for state investment in education combined with a view emerging from scholarship that ‘powerful global and international trends are creating leadership contexts that are increasingly alike’ (Dimmock, 2003) provide the broad context for this chapter.
