Abstract
As I consider what insight I might impart to your generation I am left to question, as you may well wonder, whether my words have any relevance for this new era. The nation in which my ideas emerged was different from the one you now inhabit, and the vast and enduring changes spanning my lifetime from 1859 to 1952 are unmatched by the profound scientific and technological advances of your information age.
