Abstract

This major research project is the culmination of my personal and professional journey into the field of teacher education. It begins with my teaching career some 35 years ago and my own development a practitioner and researcher. The autobiographic approach I have taken presents the reader with an alternate approach to teaching and learning that has been my trademark from my very first day in the classroom. For many years, however, I relied on my intuition to guide me through the challenging landscape, serving me well along the way.
