Abstract

Farling et al. (1999) and Walker and Scharf (2001) viewed vision, credibility, trust, and service as anchor attributes of Servant-leadership that foster higher levels of accomplishment and maturation. Farling et al. presented a leadership model that uses a corkscrew design (Figure 1). In this model, servant-leadership commences from the leader’s principles, values, and beliefs, and develops through the upward-spiraling maturation process towards higher levels of attainment (Walker & Scharf).
