Alex’s Year Begins

Abstract

Yes, my response to Owen’s question, “what’s to become of your work @ Fairfield? what now?” was going to be longwinded, but ultimately it would have began and ended with “I don’t know.” Yet I could not stop thinking that I had to return to Fairfield to continue processing Owen’s departure from teaching. His departure, and the similarities it held with my own, rattled in my head for weeks, months, over the summer.
