Abstract

The nature of a museum visit is a complex one. How we as researcher and practitioners categorize the behaviors we observe and the conversations we overhear provides the lens through which we form opinions about the visitor experience. In looking specifically at how families scaffold a museum experience for each other, Mai and Ash explore the importance of a multi-faceted and multidirectional approach to how we research this interplay.
