Abstract
This morning the mist clung to the water longer than usual. Even in summer the water can stop a man’s heart but it’s still good, God-good, life-taking and life-giving. I run near the ocean sucking air into hungry lungs muscles contracting and expanding with summer’s rhythmic scents tangerine ocean waves toasted almond beach sand shy omnipresent myrrh of evergreens the musk of sweat even good.
