Abstract

The label Romanticism refers to an intellectual and cultural movement in Europe in the late 18th and throughout the 19th century. It is manifested primarily in philosophy and the arts (poetry, prose, drama, painting, music), but it has a widespread influence on the entire world–view of the time (including religion, politics, and education).
