The research pertaining to all forms of cheating, namely exam cheating, homework cheating, plagiarism, academic dishonesty, is extensive. Since 1970 a number of studies have been carried out to investigate cheating, as well as the students’ attitudes and beliefs on this issue (Anderman, Griesinger, & Westerfield, 1998; DePalma, Madey, & Bornschein 1995; Eisenberg, 2004; Evans & Craig, 1990a, 1990b; Hutton, 2006; Miller, Staub, & Visser, 2005; Murdock, 1999; Nath & Lovaglia, 2009; Passow, Mayhew, Finelli, Harding, & Carpenter, 2006; Pnevmatikos & Makris, 2006; Strom & Strom, 2007).
