Abstract

This chapter outlines a representation of Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) for the topic Force. Just as in the case of Chapter Five (Chemical Reactions) for this topic we again offer two CoRes as opposed to the single CoRe approach of the topics in Chapters 4, 6 and 8. However, in Chapter Five, the two CoRes represented different teachers’ framing of the content, whereas in this chapter, the two CoRes were generated by the same teachers and represent different aspects of teaching about Force, viz. teaching about stationary objects, and about moving objects. Hence, the format for this chapter is a little different to that of the other topics as it includes a first CoRe (Part One: Stationary objects) followed by a second CoRe (Part Two: Moving Objects).
