Abstract
Randy is alone in the cell that he shares with Wesley. Randy is lying on his bed with his eyes closed. Enter Eileen through the closed door. Slowly a mist begins to fill the room and the sound of Native flute music is heard – giving the scene a dreamlike quality. (In the first production the Director staged this scene with Eileen standing centre stage and the actress playing Val crouched in front of her videotaping Eileen close up. Eileen’s image from the camera was projected on the TV monitor.
