Abstract
In Randy’s room. A small “cell” with a bunk bed, two shelves, a securely encased light fixture mounted high on one wall. The light is on. It is centrally controlled and will go out partway through the scene indicating the 10:00 p.m. “lights out” for inmates. The door, which is locked, has a small window in it of reinforced glass. Beside the door, in a panel in the wall, are a button and a speaker. Randy is lying on the bottom bunk of the bed reading. We hear a Pshshsht and the door opens. Enter Wesley carrying his pillow, blanket, a few toiletries (shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, towel, deodorant) inside his pillowcase, and a change of clothes (navy blue sweats). Randy sits up startled.
