Abstract
For my PhD I undertook in-depth research with older persons living with dementia and who resided in a nursing home. My topic was wandering. I was exploring what wandering was and what meaning it had for the older person who “did it”. I was doing this as no one had previously done any similar research on wandering with, rather than on, persons with dementia. I was driven by the fact that wandering had previously been researched from a behavioural and generally a reductionist perspective.
