Abstract
In this chapter we explore the activities and the learning outcomes of young children who visited a science centre and interacted with a technology exhibit, the Mitey Quarry,which was part of a larger, travelling exhibition called Mitey Science. The Mitey Quarry exhibit was developed for children of 3 to 8 years of age and designed to encourage children to experiment by manipulating its components, to observe and to predict likely outcomes.
