Abstract
This chapter will introduce you to developments in primary technology education that have occurred in New Zealand over the last twenty or so years. Obviously this chapter is part of a series of international perspectives; therefore it will be just that - an introduction. I encourage you to contact the author and read the reference materials identified for further clarification. The focus will be on Ministry of Education policy directives and curriculum development because this is what drives education in the New Zealand primary classroom.
