Abstract
This chapter charts not only the journey undertaken but also reflects on the experience of embedding Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in the teaching of Design and Technology (D&T). The context is teacher education in England and the changes that have taken place in recent years. As a series of research projects the journey has been supported by Oxfam Education initially and World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF-UK) for the main part with funding, advice and support.
