Abstract
Of particular importance to the engagement of Indigenous students is… inclusive teaching practice…pedagogy that helps to make learning more meaningful and important to students. Such pedagogy draws clear connections with students’ prior knowledge and identities, with contexts outside the classroom, and with multiple ways of knowing or cultural perspectives (National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Policy, 2005–2008).
