Ilan Gur-Ze’ev: Thank you, Prof. Boyarin, for enabling this conversation on the issue of Diasporic philosophy and education in the era of globalization. With your permission let us begin with your response to the following differentiation which I suggest in theological terms between Diaspora as a Godly or historical punishment, misfortune or unavoidable immigration, and Diaspora, and still more Diasporic existence, as a wonderful, dreadful, dangerous telos.
