Abstract
The University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) is the only public academic health sciences centre in the State of Nebraska (USA) and its educational programmes are responsible for training more health professionals that practise in Nebraska than any other institution. Through its commitment to education, research, patient care and outreach, the UNMC and its hospital partner, the Nebraska Medical Center (NMC), deliver state-of-the-art healthcare, prepare the best-educated health professionals and scientists and rank among the leading research centres. Moreover, the UNMC seeks to advance its historic commitment to community health, embrace the richness of diversity to build unity and create economic growth in Nebraska.
