Constructing Inclusive Education

Abstract

Previous chapters have attempted to bring to the fore the cultural and structural impediments to the development of inclusive thinking within policies and the school context. In this chapter, though, I will provide reasons for an appreciation of the work done by the schools investigated. Taking into consideration the structural and cultural constraints in which the lower secondary schools operated, this chapter provides indications of how schools could promote inclusive education at a microlevel.
