Abstract

Talinaceae, in the order of Caryophyllales according to APG III system, is a family of flowering plants comprising about 2 genera and approximately 28 species. Plants are often shrubs, lianas, and herbaceous, native to America, Africa, and Madagascar. One species, Talinum paniculatum (Jacq.) Gaertn., is illustrated in this chapter.
