Part of the book series: Entomology in Focus ((ENFO,volume 2))

Abstract

A brief historical overview of the study of Anthocoridae and Lyctocoridae (Hemiptera: Heteroptera) found in the Neotropical region is presented. Dichotomic keys are provided for the recognition of the subfamilies to the subtribal level and a taxonomic list of all species known to date as well as images for guidance. Comments on most important species and a summary of the main literature are included.
