Abstract
Diverse faith communities around the world are involved in a multitude of ways in the movement around urban agriculture. Many are involved in some way in the act of feeding the poor, and this has evolved in many places to include the hosting of farmer’s markets, building community gardens, and processing food together. What makes this example interesting is the extent to which the activities of urban agriculture are being institutionalized within the infrastructure of the Diocese and supported throughout the entire system. This results in much greater power and potential.
