Abstract
The number of blood groups discovered in cattle during the past 25 years leads to continually increasing use of these well-known genetic markers for both scientific and practical purposes. The investigations by Ferguson (1941) revealed considerable differences in blood antigenic factors between the various breeds. Evidence for extensive series of alleles in two systems, the B and C, has been given by Stormont, Owen and Irwin (1951).
