Abstract

When Festa edited Iamblichus, De communi mathematica scientia * (subsequently referred to as Isc) in his Preface (p. IX) he noticed its similarity to the First Prologue of the Proclus commentary on Euclid ** and pointed out the literal coincidences and parallels. We are going to discuss one aspect of this similarity.
