Abstract

During the International Symposium on Irrigation with highly Saline or Sea-water with or without Desalination held in Rome September 5th—9th, 1965, a great number of lectures were given, dealing with different aspects on the salinity in soils and its effects upon plants as well as with the effect of irrigation with saline water. The desalination techniques were also considered.
