Abstract
The most rational utilization of the natural resources of the world, be they renewable or otherwise, has been the object of many treaties and international conferences. This goal constitutes a permanent program in certain international organizations such as the FAO, as well as among the national institutions of various States. The World Academy of Art and Science, a transnational organisation, has also selected the global problem of natural resources as one of the principal and permanent fields of its activities.
