Abstract
The United States is currently experiencing a most rapid rate of population growth. If such a rate were sustained for 356 more years, our country would have the population density of New York City. Ninety-eight more years at the average growth rate of the last five would bring our number up to one billion — over a third of the present population of the entire world.
