Abstract

The processes that are undertaken in ceramic works are very varied. The preliminary ones depend on the condition of the raw materials. It has been mentioned that some raw materials are crushed, ground, washed, purified, and dried before sale from the mining firm. Others are, however, delivered in a coarse condition and are dealt with either by a manufacturer specialising in purification and grinding or by the ceramic works themselves.
