Polymorphism of Albumins, Post-albumins, Transferrins and β-lactoglobulins in Estonian Black-spotted and Yakutian Cattle of Siberia

  • Chapter

Abstract

Investigation of the genetic polymorphism of blood serum and milk proteins in cattle was started in a number of laboratories of the U.S.S.R. in 1965. The large diversity of stud and indigenous breeds reared under the wide range of climatic and ecological conditions provided the material for the study of biochemical polymorphism and its probable correlation with the adaptive and productive traits.
