Abstract

Since six years research on problems of marine pollution has been done in the Federal Republic of Germany, like in other maritime nations. Now one can assess that local damage by industrial wastes or sewage can be prevented by legal, control and water purification activities. Global, however, is the thread by heavy metals and chlorinated hydrocarbons.
