Abstract

It is generally accepted that besides the foetal haemoglobin three electrophoretically distinguishable adult bovine haemoglobin phenotypes exist, which are determined by two alleles HbA and HbB (Bangham 1957, Grimes et al. 1957, 1958, Shreffler et al. 1959, Schmid 1962, 1963).
