Abstract

Japan ratified the Convention on Limitation of Liability for Maritime Claims, 1976 (1976 Convention) on 23 April 1982 and the Japanese Government deposited the formal instrument of accession with the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization on 4 June 1982.
