Abstract

Evaluation of constraints on energy resources have invariably ranked high in world energy studies. Many known specialists continue to participate in this work (M.Grenon, S.Masters, B.Dessous, F.Farabod et al. abroad and M.S.Modelevsky, N.V.Chersky, A.S.Astakhov, Yu.V.Sinyak, I.A.Bashmakov et al. in Russia). Resource problems are regularly discussed at congresses of the World Energy Council and oil, gas and coal congresses. In the last two decades international symposia on renewable energy sources have been held frequently dealing with the problems of assessing the appropriate resources. These resource studies occupy a highly important place in the activity of many authoritative organisations, in particular IIASA and IAEA.
