Abstract

The National observatory of Athens (NOA) carried out a project in the urban Athens area in the period 1989–1992. The aim of the project was to determine the daily evolution of the Internal Boundary Layer (IBL) height over Athens under sea breeze conditions. IBLs are responsible of carrying air pollutants over coastal urban areas.
