Abstract
When comparing production and productivity of different operational methods used under various conditions and in different regions of the world, one has to take into account the variety in the lenght of the working days and the way in which the working day is being utilized. It is even more difficult to compare cost figures from one region to another. The cost of manual labour as well as the machine costs are different from one country to another and so is the relationship between manual and machine costs.
