Abstract
In the broad panorama on tropical hardwood presented in this book trade and markets, inherent to international exchanges play a central role. The following six chapters offer significant views on different situations from various trade partners. However, especially when one considers the incredible expansion of the markets and the multifarious aspects of the tropical hardwood trade, a rather concise overview seems useful at the beginning of this section to sketch a clear picture of the question.
