Abstract
It seems logical at this stage to begin the textbook with some brief descriptions of basic terms and forms of production. We can then proceed without misunderstandings into planning of the forest operations using information on resources available, environmental conditions and characteristics of trees and forests that influence directly the performance of tree harvesting equipment.
