Abstract
In this chapter the classical Hardy spaces on ℝd and Td are introduced and all the results of Chapter 1 are proved for the classical spaces. As in Chapter 1, the various characterizations of the Hardy spaces are not proved. For these characterizations see the very nice and good books and papers of Duren [59], Stein [193, 194], Stein and Weiss [192], Lu [125], Uchiyama [205], Fefferman and Stein [67], Chang and Fefferman [33, 31, 71, 73] as well as Gundy and Stein [98, 100].
