Abstract
The issue of concepts (strategies, policies, programmes and plans) environmental impact assessment (strategic environmental assessment — S.E.A.) has been introduced into Czechoslovak (consequently Czech) legislation by the Act No. 17/1992 (the Environmental Act); following this act the principles of environment protection and E.I.A. have been implemented adequately also in when development concepts and programmes, and legal regulations are being prepared.
