Neural Network Applications

  • Robert Lloyd
Part of the GeoJournal Library book series (GEJL, volume 39)

This chapter provides examples of research problems that can be modeled with neural networks. Four classes of problems of general interests to geographers are identified and real-world examples are presented and discussed. The examples illustrate different types of data that can be used with neural networks and different approaches that can be taken to train networks.
