Abstract
In superconductors, at zero temperature, all electrons near the Fermi surface are united in pairs in a singlet-spin state with vanishing total momentum. As a result, their motion is correlated over distances of the order of the region of pairing (∿10−4 cm). This distance is called the coherence length.
