Abstract

In the previous chapters, uniform perturbations (change in the radius of a cylindrical crystal, tube or in plate thickness) were superimposed on the cross-section of a growing crystal when stability was analyzed. Such a consideration solves the problem of characteristic profile dimension stability, however the problem of maintaining the shape of a crystal being pulled remains unsolved.
