Abstract
It has been suggested that the reproductive hormone relaxin may be involved in the regulation of cardiovascular tone [1]. Relaxin has been shown to cause increases in coronary blood flow [1] and renal plasma flow [2], which could be reduced by inhibitors of nitric oxide synthase (NOS). However there is little or no information on the vascular actions of relaxin in an isolated blood vessel where experimental conditions can be specifically controlled.
