Abstract
According to Aulis Aarnio, to distinguish between systemic validity and material validity, understood as acceptability, is to take one step further into the problem of Law and morals or the problem of is-ought. It can be accepted that systemic or formal valid Law is Law but that it may lack acceptability because it lacks legitimacy.
