Abstract
Metcalf & Eddy International, Inc. is working on a project to detect and reduce transboundary pollution sources on Danube River tributaries and to minimise the effects of these sources on downstream water users. The project will implement improvement in Hungary, Slovakia, and Romania, providing equipment, technical assistance, and training in connection with a variety of discrete tasks in each country that are designed to either prevent/control sources of pollution or to mitigate the downstream impacts of pollutants. The project is one of implementation rather than study and includes a strong emphasis on supply and installation of equipment.
