Abstract

The purpose of the study is to determine if the adoption of fisheries co-management in Aby Lagoon in Côte d’Ivoire has impacted on the ownership, empowerment and access of fishers and other stakeholders in the community to resources, and the extent to which the co-management initiative has contributed to improving the fishing communities’ sustainable livelihoods and in reducing poverty in the communities.
