Summary

When we think about the philosophy of religion or about a species of philosophy that attempts to answer the questions that surface in an interreligious dialogue, we must ask what philosophy means in an intercultural context. Our methodology and our definitions are derived from the Western tradition, even if there are philosophical traditions in other cultural circles. When we address this question, we will run into the same problems as with interreligious dialogue. We must be aware of these problems. (von Brück)
