Abstract
In this book we have included many essays and examples kindly offered by renowned experts in various fields of engineering (the volume of the book does not allow the inclusion of many other interesting examples). We would like to show in these examples what stands behind the ultimate result and how this result is achieved, how the significance of the original criteria is revised in the process of solution on the basis of the PSI method and new criteria and pseudo-criteria are introduced. In some examples the number of the criteria reached many dozens. We should add that the composition of the design variable vectors was also changed and the ranges of the design variables were corrected many times in the design process. It is all this taken together that finally led to success. In general we wanted to show a fragment of real life in the immense World of Design.
